Tofino Street

I’ve been trying to meet up with Nico to shoot since last summer, this kid is a rad skater and recently scored a sponsorship to prove it. We met up at the Tuff City Skate Park yesterday and he wanted to warm up with a 3flip over the hip, within 5 minutes he blew out one of his bearings. Shit didn’t phase, we ran into Ukee’s own Max Dunn (back skating after a broken Tibia) and walked around the town looking for street spots. Which is pretty challenging when this town only has a hand full of streets to begin with. The first spot was pretty mellow, Nico was able to get a clean ollie over a private property sign down by the water front. Apparently we couldn’t read the sign and we were asked to leave. The next spot was one I found a few weeks ago, a small roof to roof gap on top of the Maquinna. Max nailed a quick kickflip over it before everyone was looking out their windows staring at up, we took this as a sign to jet.
