While you’re all enjoying some traditional lucky charms swimming in Guinness on this fine day, I’ve been busy. Well, not really… More so just trying to get back into surfing shape. We had a sick surf sesh yesterday afternoon at North Chestermans, but since I am a photographer and all – I decided to spend the first part shooting before heading out for a paddle. We were out till about 7pm, and so was the sun! As I said, summer is on it’s way here in Tofino.

    Looks like a great time!
Have you tried standing in the water to get some closer shots?

Dipping the port underwater during a high performance maneuver is pretty risky, especially when you're not using a wide lens. Sometimes you blow shots, get pissed and keep swimming. But other times you get a neat one of @cohenscorner and it ends up on @surfline ! Even though every time I look at this shot I think about how sweet the next frame would have been, just leaves me wanting more.
