Today Phil needed help with his lighting project for school. I agreed to help in exchange that he bring he’s skateboard so I could get some shots of him at Vancouver Island University and get around to updating my blog (I’ve been slacking lately). After a while he cracked his board and decided to finish the job by shit stomping it. Fuck it, it’s the rainy season anyway.

love the third photo… maybe next time hide a flash behind that pillar near the skater and get a nice rim light to seperate him from the wall a bit better (or maybe you already did that?)…

    nice work intern…

Dipping the port underwater during a high performance maneuver is pretty risky, especially when you're not using a wide lens. Sometimes you blow shots, get pissed and keep swimming. But other times you get a neat one of @cohenscorner and it ends up on @surfline ! Even though every time I look at this shot I think about how sweet the next frame would have been, just leaves me wanting more.
